Oh, my this is thrilling!Sahara continues her adventures in Egypt in 1922 but still wants to try and find her parents and sister, presumably in the 1800's. Because of her friendship with Jack and her disappearances as she traveled back in time, she is now pretty much persona non grata at the dig site.Her friend Eve brings her a coin found in the tomb which is a puzzle to Sahara because it is from the 60's BC, long after the tomb had been sealed. How did such a thing get there? She manages to get inside the tomb and discovers a papyrus note witten to HER from her parents! It tells her that she should meet them at a location in Rome in 68 AD. The note also warns her "Trust no one, especially G... (missing portion of papyrus) ...etti". Sahara realizes that this is Jack's aunt and wonders if she dare trust him.Enough of that - to learn what she finds there, you will just have to read the book.This was amazing! I cannot imagine how many rolls of paper with time lines on them Ms. Higley had to have with all the travel back and forth and all the people to keep track of. This is very complex for the author, but actually easy for the reader to follow. In this book we learn more about Sahara's family as we follow their lives more and learn about their personalities.No matter what you have read or seen about time travel in the past, here you learn the truth - that it is totally exhausting!I read this every free moment. I really can't wait for the third book in the trilogy to come out!
